３月１日から５日まで、毎年恒例のEilatでのキャンプに行ってきました。毎年この時期、イスラエルの南端の街Eilatは紅海に面したリゾート地、豪華なホテル街のはずれの、エジプトとの国境の静か〜〜な海岸でキャンプをします。今年で５回目。
５回も行っていると飽きそうなものだけど、不思議と毎年全く違う楽しい旅になります。
今回は、ギルの大学の友達が３人、前半３日間参加してくれました。
From March 1st to 5th, we went to our annual camping in Eilat. Eilat is the south tip of Israel, facing to the Red Sea. We camp along the beach near the border of Egypt in a very quiet area.
This is the fifth year to camp here. In a same location and time, but it is different every year, and we always enjoy and love this trip.
This time, we had 3 of Gil's friends for the first 3 days.
出発の前日から、イスラエル全土はすごい暴風雨。いろんな場所で道が分断されていたり、普段雨のぜんぜんふらない南の砂漠まで雨が降っていたりと、ありえないお天気。ハイファも例外ではなく、「こんな中キャンプに行くのか〜〜？？」とちょっと不安になってきましたが、Eilatは晴れているという予報を信じて出発。全部で７時間のドライブで、Eilatから１時間半手前の砂漠でも、まだすごい風と砂埃。そして寒い！
It was very stormy all over Israel in the week. It was raining even in the desert. We believed the weather report which said that Eilat was sunny, crossed fingers, and went off the road in the heavy rain and wind.
がしかし、Eilatに入るチェックポストのあたりで、突然青い空が見えてきて、Eilatは本当に晴れていた。去年までのような真夏の海水浴日和ではないけれど、ぽかぽかの春くらいの陽気ではあったので、みんなで海岸にゴザをひいてまったり。ビールを飲んだりギターを弾いて歌を歌ったりして楽しく過ごせました。ギルの友達３人ともギターが弾けるので、今回ずっと生演奏のBGM付き！
It was still dusty and windy in the desert area 1.5h before Eilat, but when we just entered to the town, wow, we saw the blue sky!
It wasn't as hot as every year, but it was very nice spring weather. We put a strew mattress along the beach and relaxed. All 3 of Gil's friends play guiter. We had live music and beers all the time. Awesome!
やっぱり大人がおいしそうに飲んでいるビールは、一目で「おいしいもの」だとわかるようで、水やジュースでごまかそうとしても全く無視でひたすらビールビンに飛びついて来る。そして大人のまねをしてクー！っと一気のみのあと、「プハー！」までやる。（笑
Sahar knows what is good. He jumps to beer bottles. We can't cheat him with juice or water. He likes to pretend to drink it, and make "ahhhh~!" sound after. He is very funny to mimic whatever we do lately.
二日目は男たちは砂漠にハイキングに出かけ、わたしは海岸に残る事に。
丸一日子育てから解放されて、ポカポカ陽気のビーチでぼーっとビール飲んでていいなんて、なんてすばらしすぎるバケーション。
サハル君は、わたしがいるとわたしにべったりの甘えん坊だけど、いないとぜんぜん違うみたいで、一日ギルの背中におぶわれて、ギルの友達たちに身振り手振り付きでずーーーーっと演説（意味不明）してたんだそうな。途中、すごい寒くなってサハルは真っ青になってたらしい（おい！）けど、それでも泣きもせず絶えていたそうな。
2nd day, some boys left to desert for hiking, and I stayed at the beach with Almog.
It was a wonderful day with beach, sun, beer, friend, and without a baby!
Sahar is such a mom's boy, and always attached to me when I am around, but he seems very different when I am not around. They told me that he was very happy and making long speech with gestures in Gil's back whole time.
３日目からはさらに天気もよくなって、泳げるくらいまで気温もあがったので、熱帯魚も堪能し、ギルの友達たちが去った後は、家族三人静かにのんびり過ごしました。
From the third day, it became very sunny and clear. I swam to see the tropical fish, and we relaxed along the quiet sea after Gil's friends left.
今回そんなに暑くなかったので、昼間テントの中に居ても熱死しそうになったりしなかったので、サハルとテントの中でじゃれたりしてたんだけど、サハルはこのエアベッドが敷き詰められた小さな空間が大好きだったみたいで、それは楽しそうにはしゃいだり転がったりしていました。
Since it wasn't as hot as every other year, it was ok to be inside of tent during the day. Sahar loved playing and cuddling with us on the large air mattress in the small tent.
来年はNJなので来れないけど、また再来年！
We will be in NJ next year, but probably the year after!
