もうなにから書いていいのかわからないけど、ぼちぼち３人の近況を書いていこう。
It has been 2 months already!
It is already middle of October and our apartment has been heated since last week.
I will write about our life in NJ little by little, and I will write about Sahar's Daycare life this time.

| なんか急に最近足が長くなって、走りがしっかりしてきたサハル君。 Suddenly his legs got longer, and his running got stable. |
まずはサハル君のデイケア生活。
サハル君はすっかり新しいデイケアに慣れたようです。
最初の数日はお昼まで。それから３０分ずつ徐々にゆっくり時間を延ばしていって、最近は５時すぎまで預けているけど、ドロップオフももう泣かないし、ピックアップの時もたいていご機嫌で居残り組の子たちと遊んでいます。っていうか、なかなか帰りたがらない。（笑
He has been already used to his new daycare, and enjoy going there everyday.
We started to put him only till noon at the beginning, and extended the time gradually. He wasn't very happy at the beginning, but he stopped crying at drop-off since late September. He now goes to the breakfast table straight, and sits with his friends, and kiss his parent to say good-by nicely. He started to stay till 5pm from October, and our new problem is that he doesn't want to go home!

| 家から車で３分くらいのところにあるデイケア。 あまり広くないけど、おもちゃとデコレーションがいっぱいでかわいい教室。 It is 3 mins drive from our apt. The classroom is not very large, but full of toys and cute handmade decorations. |
ここのデイケア、０歳から５歳くらいまでの子たちが５クラスに別れて計６５人くらいいるにも関わらず、５時すぎて迎えに行くと、全部で１０人も残っていない。５時半だともう全部で３人くらい。ここら辺の親はのんびりした仕事してるのかなあ。
This daycare has about 65 kids from age 0 to 5 in 5 classes. When I pick Sahar up at 5pm, there are less that 10 kids all together, and only 3-4 kids left at 5:30pm. Parents around here seem to have quite flexible job?
４時半くらいからは全クラスの残ってる子みんなで広い部屋に移って一緒に遊んでいるので、違うおもちゃもあるし、大きいお姉ちゃんとかとも遊んでもらえるし、それも結構楽しいらしい。そっちの部屋にあるMater（Carsに出て来る茶色いトラック。サハルは「チック！チック！」と呼ぶけど、おそらく『トラック』と言いたいんだと思われ。）を溺愛していて、それを手放させるのにいつも一苦労。
After 4:30, they put all remaining kids in a large room. Sahar seems love the toys in the room, and love to play with older girls. He is crazy about a toy car of Mater ( the brown tow truck from the cartoon "Cars" ) in the room, and I always have hard time to let him put it back when I pick him up. He can't say "truck" yet, and he call it as "chick."
今日は誰と遊んだ？と聞くと、必ず、ジューダとシーシャと答えるので、きっと仲良しの子も出来たんだわ。よかったね。って、ジューダがクラスメートなのは知ってるけど、シーシャって誰？って思ってたら、実は先生のパトリシアのことで、まだパトリの部分を発音できなくてそうなるんだって。ぜんぜんわからんわ。（笑
When I ask "how was today?" He always answers "Judah! Sisha!" It seems that he got a good friend in his class, and we are very happy about it. Though, we knew that Judah was his classmate, but we didn't know who was Sisha. It took for a while to realize that he is trying to say "Patricia", one of his teacher's name.

アメリカのデイケアとイスラエルのデイケアはシステムがまるで違う。
まずは入園時の書類の山！！
まず、小児科からの各種予防接種の証明と健康診断書が必要。
んで、迎えに行ける人のリストだったり、緊急連絡先だったりから始まって、日焼け止めをぬっていいかどうかの許可まで。（笑
２０枚くらいいろんな書類を読んでサインしなければ入れてもらえない。
確かイスラエルのデイケアは、ギルの携帯の番号教えて終わりだった気が。（それも今考えればかなりすごい。）
The system of the Israeli daycare and NJ daycare is very different.
First of all, in NJ, we have to survive through the massive amount of paperwork in order to put him into a daycare.
We had to get Sahar's immunization record and physical report from pediatrician, and we read and signed about 20 pages of forms, starting from contact infos, list of people who can pick him up, and who cannot pick him up... to a permission for them to put sunscreen on child's skin!
In Israel, only thing we did was to give them a deposit check and Gil's cell phone number.
月ごとのランチのメニュー、１日の活動スケジュールはもちろんのこと、何時におむつを変えて、何時間昼寝して、何の本を読んで、なんの歌を歌って、なにして遊んだとか、事細かに記されたレポートが毎日もらえます。
Every month, we receive a daily schedule, monthly schedule, and breakfast/lunch/snack menu.
We also receive detailed daily report about diaper changes, nap, what they did, what they read, what they sang, etc.

イスラエルは、、、なんもなかったなあ。。つっても、毎日ちゃんとおいしそうな園長の手料理をおなかいっぱいもらってたみたいだから、食べ物に関しては文句なかったけど。
でもスケジュールは全くテキトーっぽかったなあ。なんかテレビ見せっぱなしにしてたりもしてたらしいし。。。（おいっ！
イスラエルの園は、良い言い方をすれば、おおらかなんだけど、あまりにもおおざっばで、こどもたちが毎日一体何してるのかが全然見えなかったので、その点で、このNJの園の事細かいレポートはギルもわたしもかなり満足している。
ただ、イスラエルでサハルが行っていた園は、全部で生徒が３０人くらいのこじんまりしたところで、園長のだんなさんや子供たちもやってきて子供たちの面倒見たりしてすごくアットホームでした。朝、子供たちを出迎える時も、夕方子供たちと別れる時もぎゅーっと抱きしめてほっぺにキスして「I love you~~」とか言ってくれて、子供に必要な暖かさがあったんだけど、NJの園は、もっと「学校」という感じで、ハグとかキスとかのご挨拶もなく、「先生と生徒」というかんじなんで、そういうところはイスラエルの園のほうがよかったかな。
Israeli one... we received nothing. We weren't worried about food because the manager was cooking healthy dishes everyday for kids, but their schedule was quite rough, and they sometimes turn on TV to occupy kids. Gil and I love this detailed reports from the current daycare.
Though, one nice thing about Israeli daycare was the intimacy between the care takers and kids. The owner's husband and her teenage children often visit the daycare to take care of the kids, and it was very homely environment. They hug and kiss to welcome kids in the morning, and say "l love you~!" when they release kids in the evening. The NJ one is more like a "school", the relationship of kids and the care takers is more like students and teachers.

Sahar was crying all day long at the beginning of his first daycare life, and he came almost everyday to help, and was holding Sahar all day long. |
NJの子供たちはイスラエルの子供たちに比べてずっとおとなしくて礼儀正しい感じ。デイケアでも大きな声を上げたり走り回ってる子はいない。サハルも影響されて、デイケアではそれなりにおとなしくていい子ちゃんだったりするらしい。（笑
Kids around this area seem very well mannered. No kids are making loud noise and running around in the daycare. Sahar is influenced and he seems to be a good boy in his daycare now.
入園当初は、やはり英語環境に戸惑っていたようで、先生が絵本を読んだり、歌を歌ったりしている時は、なんとなく横で傍観していたらしいけど、今では一緒になって踊っているんだって。そして自ら本の朗読とかもするらしい。（全く持って意味不明に。）
In August when he started, he was probably confused in English speaking environment. When teachers were reading books and singing songs, he was just sitting back. He now join other kids and dancing together. He even read books for them. ( No one can understand, though. )
まあこんなかんじでめちゃくちゃに読んでるんでしょう。きっと。

会話にも少しずつ英語の単語が混じってきました。「Oh NO!」とか（笑
相手によってなんとなく使い分けているようで、家では基本的にヘブライ語で、プラス日本語ちょっとだけど、保育園ではmoreとかpleaseとかenoughとかもいえるらしい。
お誕生日のピクニックとかで英語をしゃべる人たちに囲まれた状態だと、自然に返事が全部イエスかノーになっていたし。子供ってすごいねえ。
He started to add some English word in his conversations, such as "Oh No!!"
He seems switching language depending on who he is with. He mainly speak in Hebrew with some Japanese words at home, but he can say "more", "please", and "enough" in his daycare.
When we had picnic and he was surrounded by English speakers, he naturally used "Yes" and "No" instead of "Ken" and "Lo"
Young children are amazing...
